PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: West Point downs pair of ranked foes; St. Bernard earns area victory

FAIRVIEW — West Point’s volleyball team recorded a pair of wins against ranked opponents on Thursday.

The Class 5A No. 10 Lady Warriors defeated 4A No. 3 Fairview 25-22, 20-25, 16-14 and 5A No. 3 Arab 25-22, 11-25, 16-14 to extend their winning streak to 17 matches and improve to 26-2 this season.

The Lady Aggies, meanwhile, dropped to 24-9 overall following a 25-19, 25-14 loss to the Lady Knights.

In other action, St. Bernard erased a two-set deficit to down Falkville 20-25, 25-27, 25-19, 25-22, 15-8 in a key area matchup.
