“It has always been a dream of mine to play volleyball at Wallace State,” Smith said. “I can’t wait to finally get to live that dream. I’m definitely blessed beyond belief with this opportunity.”
Smith played four varsity seasons for the Lady Raiders, the first three as the team’s libero and the last as the setter.
Smith accumulated 602 assists, 467 digs, 133 aces, 54 kills and 14 blocks during her junior and senior years.
She’ll join former teammate Kate Kent, who signed with the Lady Lions back in 2017.
“Chrissi is a very special player,” Good Hope coach Natasha Holcombe said. “She will never be complacent and will work hard every single day for her team. She is versatile and will fill any role she needs for her team to be successful. She has all the characteristics a coach wants to see, including great effort and attitude day in and day out. I’m really excited that she gets the opportunity to keep playing, and I know she’ll be a good fit at Wallace State.”
