- Mike McGrill, center, poses with Cullman Golf Course manager Ches Harris, left, and TP Country Club manager John Hunt, after winning the title on Sunday.
Mike McGill shot a final-round 72 at TP Country Club to win Sunday’s Cullman County Championship.
McGill’s two-day total of 145 edged Jeff Cole (148) by three strokes for the coveted trophy.
The event split its days between Cullman Golf Course and TP Country Club for the first time since 1997 — when the tournament split from the Buck Shear Memorial to become its on entity.
While the championship groups carded 18 holes, the first and second flights were only able to complete nine before inclement weather set in.
