PREP FOOTBALL: Harper, defense lead Fairview past Ardmore 28-6

Jake Harper ran for three touchdowns, Fairview’s defense put together a superb performance and the Aggies knocked off Ardmore 28-6 on Friday night to improve to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in Class 5A, Region 7 play. 

Harper reeled off a pair of lengthy scoring scampers in the first half as Fairview led 14-0. His third score came late in the third quarter.

Carson Jones then answered Ardmore’s lone touchdown of the contest with one of his own at the 5:56 mark of the fourth quarter. 

Harper finished with 309 yards on 15 carries, while Jones added 126 yards on 17 carries. 

Fairview travels to Lawrence County next week.
