- Fairview's George Redding — (Coach of the Year).
Kyler Chaney is riding off into the football sunset — as the Overall MVP of the All-County Football Team.
The senior standout was awarded the top honor by the county’s seven coaches, who convened and constructed this year’s team earlier this week.
The dynamite quarterback ran for 897 yards and 13 touchdowns, passed for 784 yards and five touchdowns and even recorded 77 tackles on defense to cap a fantastic career with Holly Pond.
Add it all up, and it was an MVP-worthy season for the three-year starter.
He’s accompanied on Cullman County’s 2019 football Mount Rushmore by Fairview’s Tyvn Ellis and Vinemont’s Dallin Dinkle — the two shared Offensive MVP honors — Fairview’s Parker Martin (Defensive MVP) and Fairview’s George Redding (Coach of the Year).
The Aggies led the county with 10 first-team selections including Ellis, Martin, Adam Parker (OL), JT White (WR), Oakley Mullican (DL), Levi Garner (DL), Will Bailey (LB), Tyler Simmons (LB), Mason Black (DB) and Eli Speegle (DB).
West Point, meanwhile, had eight first-team players — Will Cochran (QB), Erik Griggs (OL), Kobe Bowers (WR), Logan Selby (P), Brody Rusk (LB), Will Brown (DB), Levi Farley (DB) and Poncho Perez (DB).
Cold Springs, Good Hope and Holly Pond were next in line with six first-team selections apiece.
Jacob McClendon (OL), Lawson Burgess (TE), Ayden Alexander (RB), Roberto Ayala (ATH), Zeke White (DL) and Jordan Lacey (LB) made the cut for the Eagles.
Tanner Malin (QB), Trevor Pace (OL), Drew Maddox (WR), Colton Bagwell (RB), Walter Perez (K) and Justin Crumpton (DL) were the Raiders’ honorees.
Chaney, Collin Leathers (OL), Jayden Perkins (TE), Levi Boatright (RB), Todd Sears (DL) and Andy Garcia (LB) represented the Broncos.
Hanceville had four first-team picks in Will Akin (OL), Brodie Malcom (WR), Zach Campbell (ATH) and Karsen Wilbanks (DL).
Vinemont rounded out the first team with two selections — Dinkle and Isiah Young (OL).
The All-County Team is handpicked by Cullman County’s seven football coaches.
All-State will be released later this month. All-Area, which is determined by The Times and includes players from Addison and Cullman, will be released after the New Year.
See below for this year’s All-County Team, including second-team players and honorable mentions.
Overall MVP

School: Holly Pond
Class: Senior
Highlights: 897 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns; 784 passing yards, five touchdowns; 77 tackles
Coach Speak: “I’ve never coached a team he couldn’t play on or be a star on. His value to us was almost immeasurable. We depended on him so much and put a lot of pressure on him, but he responded like a winner. He was a competitor, and his love of competition never waned. His example on the field is something that coaches dream of having in a player. He could take nothing and make something out of it. Some of that was athletic ability, some of it was sheer willpower. He made his teammates better, too.” — Mike Bates
Co-Offensive MVP
Name: Tyvn Ellis
School: Fairview
