PREP SPORTS: Holly Pond’s Chaney named Athlete of the Week

Published 5:16 pm Wednesday, December 5, 2018

Holly Pond's Kyler Chaney.

Kyler Chaney has had himself quite a week.

On Tuesday, the Holly Pond standout drained the game-winning 3-pointer to cap off a 29-point performance in a 68-67 overtime victory versus Randolph.

On Monday, he picked up a game-high 32 points to lift the Broncos to a 91-86 overtime win against Hanceville.

Chaney also led the Green and White in scoring — 27 points against Good Hope and 12 against Cold Springs — in a pair of county matchups last Thursday and Friday.

All in all, he averaged a double-double (25 points and 10 rebounds per game) during his torrid stretch.
