Fall camp kicked off this week for numerous teams around the state, including several in The Times’ coverage area — with the season set to open on August 22.

Key Returners: Marquies Leeth, Eli Akin, Hunter Black, Ashton Hurst, Brodie Butts

Quick Hitter: First-year coach Levi Estes, who spent the previous three seasons in a variety of roles at Class 7A Oak Mountain, played college football at Bethel and later helped Dresden High School (Tennessee) win a state title in 2016 as the team’s defensive coordinator.
