- Fairview's volleyball team celebrates after winning the Brindlee Mountain Tournament for the second straight season.
Fairview’s volleyball team went a perfect 5-0 on Saturday to dominate the Brindlee Mountain Tournament for the second straight season and fourth time in program history.
The Lady Aggies defeated Locust Fork (25-15, 25-16), Holly Pond (26-24, 25-19), Susan Moore (25-17, 25-13), Douglas (25-18, 25-15) and the host Lady Lions (25-17, 25-11) to take home the hardware and move to 8-1 this season.
“I’m very proud of my girls,” head coach Tracy Means said after the tourney.
Fairview’s top contributors were as follows: McKinna Yearwood (33 kills, six aces and three blocks); Katie Ball (10 kills, 15 digs and three blocks); Tess Bailey (12 kills and three blocks); Alivia Boyll (40 assists and three kills); Ally Hogeland (seven kills, five blocks and three aces); Micah Means (32 assists and three aces); Daisy Manasco (seven kills and three blocks); and Marissa Donohoo (16 digs and four aces). The Lady Aggies also received solid efforts from Abbi Taylor and Anna Scott during the tournament.
