Easter brings out church, community egg hunts

Several Easter egg hunts are scheduled in north Jefferson County in upcoming weeks:

• American Legion Post 255 in Fultondale will host its annual Easter egg hunt April 3, 10 a.m., at Black Creek Park in Fultondale. The hunt is free and will include more than 700 eggs. There will be more than $400 in prize money given away.

• A community Easter egg hunt will be held at the Gardendale Civic Center on Sunday. Egg hunt and family games take place at 3 p.m. A hot dog supper takes place at 5 p.m. Family-friendly worship is at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 631-7631.

• Mount Olive Alliance Church will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at the church, at 1270 McCravy Lane. For more information, call the church at 631-9337 or visit www.mtolivealliance.yolasite.com.

• Church 29:11 in Mt. Olive will host the Great Egg Drop Saturday at 10 a.m. Ten thousands eggs will be dropped from a helicopter. To learn more, call 631-4525.

Fultondale signs agreement with telephone provider

The Fultondale City Council on Friday entered into a franchise agreement with AT&T for telephone and competitive video services.
