Mortimer Jordan to host Veterans Day program

Mortimer Jordan High School will host a Veterans Day Salute Monday at the school.

U.S. Marines will re-enact the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima.

The school’s band and choir will also participate.

Teacher Rebecca Mauldin said the public is invited to the event, especially area veterans.

The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. on the football field. It will be moved to the gym in case of inclement weather.
