Brandon Brindley was recognized at the Jefferson County Board of Education on February 18 for his athletic achievements. Brandon recently won the Class 5A Wrestling State Championship that was held in Huntsville. Brandon is the son of Tony and Jennifer Brindley of Kimberly. Congratulations Brandon!

• A reminder that the last day of registration for Morris Youth Association baseball/softball is today at 9:30 a.m. at the ballpark. Makeup evaluations will also be held today beginning at 9:30 a.m.

• The Little Miss Mortimer Jordan Pageant will be held on March 1 at MJ gym beginning at 2:30 p.m. Entry forms can be picked up at Cherished Moments or by calling Cindy Sanford at 590-6275 or Lori Barnett at 590-0400.

• The Morris Beautifi-cation Board will be having a yard sale (TBA) to help raise money for the board. They are looking for any donations. If you have a donation, you can contact Betty Wood at 647-0730.

• Happy 40th birthday to Rene Boyd on Feb. 19. Welcome to the 40 Club Rene!

• Happy 18th birthday to Christopher Copeland on Feb. 19.
