PREP BASEBALL: County tournament begins this week; Fairview earns top seed

The Cullman County Baseball Tournament will begin Friday and crown a champion Saturday.
The bracket for the annual event — held at Good Hope this year — was finalized Wednesday, with seeding based on first meetings among the seven county schools.
Fairview earned the top seed followed by West Point, Good Hope, Vinemont, Hanceville, Cold Springs and Holly Pond.
The Warriors have won six straight county titles.

G1: Vinemont vs. Hanceville, 2 p.m.
G2: West Point vs. Holly Pond, 4 p.m.
G3: Good Hope vs. Cold Springs, 6 p.m.
Saturday — March 22
G4: G1 Winner vs. Fairview, 11 a.m.
G5: G2 Winner vs. G3 Winner, 1 p.m.
G6: Championship, 3 p.m.
