The American Heart Association is gearing up for the 2019 Cullman Heart Walk. The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke. Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that is fun and rewarding for the entire family.
When you participate in the Heart Walk, you are joining millions in over 300+ cities across America in taking a stand against heart disease. Every donation helps create new technologies such as the artificial heart valve, cholesterol drugs, stents and the mechanical heart pump which helps extend the life of patients.
“Cullman Regional is proud to be the local sponsor of this year’s Heart Walk to help build heart healthier lives in our community,” said Lindsey Dossey, Vice President of Marketing and Community Outreach. “We encourage everyone in the community to lace up their shoes, create a team and walk with us in an effort to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. At Cullman Regional, we are working to create a healthier community, one step at a time.”
The Heart Walk is open to the community and will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 beginning at 9 a.m. at Depot Park in Downtown Cullman.
