After a year of building and growth, Cullman Regional is preparing to host a grand opening of its expanded facilities.
James Clements, chief executive officer of Cullman Regional, told a large audience Wednesday at the State of the Healthcare System address the grand opening celebration of the new fifth floor will be Feb. 27.
Equally important in Clement’s speech was a recap of the healthcare system’s growth in the last four years.
“We’ve experienced a 15 percent increase in our local community choosing as their healthcare provider,” Clements said. “That’s significant, a dramatic increase in providing for the community. And we have seen a growth in market share from 53 percent to 60 percent in four years.”
Clements said Cullman Regional has done a better job in recent years in telling the local community and region about the medical services available.
“We’ve also reinvested and upgraded the technology that is needed to be a leading healthcare system and people are seeing that,” he said.
Clements also said a new urgent care facility should also open about April.
