Cullman was recently named the fourth-best midsized city to visit in Alabama in a report released by RewardExpert.

“We evaluated all 460 cities and towns in Alabama based on 27 relevant data metrics to provide informed insights with travelers visiting the Heart of Dixie,” RewardExpert CEO and co-founder Roman Shetyn said in a press release. “We also determined which cities are best based on certain categories of interest, such as the top cities in Alabama for food, history, and music.”
Out of the 52 cities in Alabama with populations greater than 10,000 people, but less than 50,000, Cullman ranked number four on RewardExpert’s list, finishing behind Anniston, Fort Payne and Fairhope.
In the report, Cullman is singled out for its authentic southern food and music and stunning landscapes with many opportunities for outdoors activities.
The report mentions Johnny’s BBQ and Berkeley Bob’s Coffee House as two places to visit for food and drink, and cited Hurricane Creek Park and Bankhead National Forest as two nearby attractions that any visitors to the area should visit.
“We learned a lot about Alabama through this State Spotlight,” Shteyn said. “It truly is a destination where travelers of all stripes will find amazing things to do and sites to see. Whether you’re a foodie, a history buff, a music fanatic, an outdoorsman, or simply a beach bum looking for a place to relax; the Heart of Dixie offers it all to its visitors.”
