- Cullman Mayor Max Townson congratulates La Quinta Inn owners Pritesh and Harry Patel on the grand opening.
Between ball tournaments and community events, Cullman has been drawing crowds for years — and now those visitors have one more hotel to check out (and in).
The new La Quinta Inn off Alabama Highway 157 officially celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, though the hotel has been accepting guests since its soft opening on Sept. 9.
“Cullman is growing and it’s great for business,” owner Pritesh Patel said. “We already know the market, so we bought land and built the hotel. We’re excited to be here and bring more business to the city.”
The new hotel features 64 rooms, a pool and a gym. The hotel measures 34,500 square feet.
Leah Bolin, director of the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce, said she’s excited for the potential the new hotel holds for additional tourism growth.
“We can’t wait to fill it up with everything going on in Cullman,” she said.
Cullman Mayor Max Townson added he was glad to see the project come to fruition following its lengthy gestation.
“It’s always a pleasure to see something new come to Cullman,” he said. “We’re so glad its complete.”
Pritesh Patel opened the La Quinta Inn along with his business partner Harry Patel.
The La Quinta Inn is located at 2054 St. Joseph Drive NW.
