Stricklin on ASWA All-State Class 5A second team for third straight year

Same song, third verse for Krista Stricklin.

The Hayden guard, who just finished her high school basketball career as ninth on the state’s all-time career scoring list, was once again named to the second team in the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s All-State team in Class 5A.

It’s the third year in a row on the second team for Stricklin, who recently gave a verbal commitment to Samford to play college ball.

Stricklin is the only local player to make the list.
