Fultondale AT&T Planet robbed at gunpoint

The Fultondale Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an armed robbery at the AT&T Planet mobile phone store on U.S. Hwy. 31 in Fultondale.

The robbery happened about 3:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. Fultondale Police said that two black males of average height entered the store while the manager was in a back room. The robbers accosted the manager at gunpoint, then took approximately $200 in cash and mobile phones of an undetermined value.

Police have no description of the getaway vehicle or in which direction the robbers fled. Customers in a neighboring nail salon were not aware of the robbery until police arrived.
