• Where do you work?

I’m the store manager at bedzzz express.

• What is the store’s busiest time of day?

In the evenings, probably because people are just getting off work.

• What do you enjoy about your job?

I enjoy talking to the people. I’m a people person. We get customers who tell us their life history. They even come back to talk with us even after they have bought a mattress.

• Do people ask for help with problems?

Yes, people have back problems and sleeping problems. We get them to lie down and see which mattress feels the best, what suits their body.

• What is your best-selling mattress?

Right now, Tempur-pedics. We’ve been selling two to three a day for the past several days.

• What type of work did you do before you came here?

I worked at Marks Fitzgerald in Center Point for five years.

• What do you do when you’re not at work?

I love to travel and go shopping. I like to get in the car and just take off. It unwinds me. I usually stay pretty close to home. I also go out to eat with my dad.

• What is your favorite restaurant?

Outback and Mexican places.

• What do you do at home?

I like movies and soap operas.

• What soaps do you follow?

All My Children, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and One Life to Live.

• Tell me about your family.

I have two children. Both of them live close by. I don’t have any grandchildren; just grand-dogs.

• Where did you graduate from high school?

Erwin High School in 1971.
