Della Ruth Swann Barnett, age 80, of Warrior, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2009. Her funeral service was held at Warrior Memorial Gardens on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 2 p.m. with burial following at Warrior Memorial Gardens. Bro. Calvin Armstrong and Bro. Anthony Mitchell officiated. Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Messmer-Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel 6 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband John Barnett, parents Emmett and Sally Armstrong Swann and granddaughter, Anna Melissa Barnett. She is survived by her one daughter Julie Moore; two sons Larry and Jerry Barnett; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters Bertie Hays, Jerrielene Dean, Eleanor Parvin; three brothers Tommy Swann; Douglas Swann, Roy Swann and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
