Rebecca Fay Young

Rebecca Fay Young, of Gardendale passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009. She was a member of Gardendale’s First Baptist Church and was a private piano teacher at Warrior School, Gardendale (Music House) and taught at Norwood School in Birmingham. Her parents, Elmer E. and Janie Rebecca Young, and brother, Elmer Young, Jr. preceded her in death. Survivors include her sister, Norma Jean Young and a host of friends. Her funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Stewart’s Chapel United Methodist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stewart’s Chapel Cemetery Care Association, 690 Tavel Rd., Warrior, AL 35180. Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel is directing.
