The Morris Beautification Board has elected new 2009 officers. They met for their annual breakfast on Dec. 1 at Shoney’s in Gardendale. The new officers are: Betty Wood, president; Nancy Cook, vice president; Dot Womack, vice president and Faye Crane, secretary/treasurer. They will have an open house and membership drive in February. I will have more info at a later date. The first meeting will be held sometime in March. The board is looking for new members, so anyone interested should contact Betty Wood at 647-0730. They are also looking for history on the City of Morris, so if there is anyone who may have any old history, you can also contact Betty.
