Applications for holiday help now available

The town of Kimberly is now taking applications for families wanting help for Christmas. For more info, you can call Mona Hendrix at 647-5551. They are also registering people to participate in Kimberly’s fourth annual Christmas
parade on Dec. 13.
• The Kimberly Police and Fire Department will have a Halloween party for the public on Oct. 31 at Kimberly ballpark beginning at 6 p.m. The party will include hayrides, hot dogs and Halloween creatures. Everyone is encouraged to bring canned food for a food drive.
• Our local paralympian, Josh Roberts, returned recently from an invited trip to Washington D.C., where he met President George W. Bush. On this trip, Josh toured the White House and met gold medalist gymnast Sean Johnson.
• Special birthday wishes this week to Jennifer Brindley. We love you Jenn from your girls, Lisa, Jamie and Cyndi!
• The Morris Youth Association will have basketball registration on Oct. 20, 21 and 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Oct. 18 and 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at Morris ballpark concession stand.
