The family and friends of Josh Roberts would like to thank everyone who came out to wish Josh good luck on his trip to Beijing, China, where he will be representing the U.S.A. in the Paralympics Track and Field. Over $5,000 was raised for Josh and his family. Thanks to everyone who made donations and helped make this event very special. Thanks to Pandy Hope (Snowbiz), Angela Kennedy (cotton candy, popcorn and lemonade), David Reilly (Coca-Cola), Joe Arnold (hot dogs), Tammy Calhoun (Bloominfields), Linda Taylor (pictures), Terry Scott (Morris Methodist Church), Food World, Subway, John Green (Moonwalk), Ulises Echeverry (D.J.) and Cole Barber and his cloggers for the great entertainment. A big thank you to Morris Mayor Craig Drummonds, town council, fire department, police department and Rachel, for all of your support and kindness. We couldn’t have done it without your help. The Paralympics are not going to be televised, but you can check all stats by going to the Web site at Paralympics.teamusa.org. I will keep everyone informed as much as possible. The Paralympics start on Sept. 6.

• I would like to wish my dad, Harold, a belated birthday. Sorry it’s late!
