The Easter bunny has big plans Saturday in Fultondale, with the help of some veterans.

The Hawkins B. Carter American Legion Post No. 255 will host its annual Easter egg hunt Saturday at Black Creek Park.

“It’s getting to be a big, big thing,” said Post commander Don Vaughn.

Members of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary will color hundreds of eggs for the hunt.

Vaughn said there will be more than 700 eggs hidden at the park, including some surprises.

There will be special eggs worth cash prizes, and a prize for the child who finds the most eggs.

The American Legion will also be serving free hot dogs, chips and drinks.

The Easter egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. Saturday under the pavilion at Black Creek Park in Fultondale.
