Jean Hosey Price

Jean Hosey Price, born in Fairfield, AL on July 25, 1928, died September 19, 2007 was a perfect wife for George W. Price, a loving mother to Tera Ferguson (Eddie), Jeff Louis Price, and Carl Price, (Lynn). and grandmother to Christopher and Kelly Ferguson. Music was one of the motivating interests in her life. She studied voice with Mrs. Steele at the Birmingham Conservatory of Music and was an alto soloist in four major church choirs. She taught pre-school church choirs and pre-school Sunday School for 25 years. She was a volunteer with the Princeton Hospital Auxiliary and is a past president. She was a skilled china painter and porcelain artist. She was best at making Dresden draped figurines. Jean was redeemed at the age of five and baptized into Fairfield First Baptist Church in 1933 and was a faithful servant of her Savior God for 72 years. She was a member of Gardendale’s First Baptist Church. She survived kidney failure for twelve years by peritoneal dialysis under the excellent care of physician, Stephen G.
