Newk’s Eatery is set for its grand opening next week.
The restaurant, which was named “America’s Favorite Fast-Casual Chains“ by Restaurant Business Magazine, will open at its location 410 2nd Avenue Northwest on Nov. 4.
“As we continue our growth in Alabama, our goal remains to continue providing wholesome and convenient meals that Feed What Matters,” said Michelle Spohnholz, VP of marketing at Newk’s Eatery. “Whether dining in or enjoying dinner with loved ones at home, the Cullman community can expect a hands-on approach to every meal and for our team to go the extra mile.
The Newk’s menu features scratch-made recipes developed by founder Chris ‘Newk’ Newcomb that include chicken salad, pimento cheese and beef chili, all perfected over generations. House-roasted garlic and olive oils are infused in-restaurant and over 20 fresh, hand-chopped produce items are prepared daily.
Located off U.S. Highway 31 near Depot Park, the newly-constructed 3700-square-foot restaurant accommodates 83 guests and features a 300-square-foot outdoor patio that seats an additional 16 guests.
To celebrate the opening, Newk’s is hosting a “Dozen-Layer Cake Cutting Ceremony” on Thursday, November 7 at 3 p.m. Newk’s will also offer daily specials all week long including:

The Cullman franchise, operated by Newwood Foods, is led by Britt Smallwood and will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The latest opening marks Newk’s 16th restaurant in Alabama, growing Newk’s footprint to over 120 restaurants total.
