Dr. C.E. Stricklin

Dr. C.E. Stricklin, 70, of Gardendale, passed away Saturday, Novemeber 26, 2011.

Dr. Stricklin, who had recently retired, was an ordained minister for the United Methodist Church for over 50 years and held a doctorate in Divinity. Dr. Stricklin was preceded in death by his parents, Coil and Alice Stricklin, his wife Joan, and his daughter, Linda.

He is survived by his sons, Rodney (Laurina) Stricklin and Ted Stricklin; his daughter, Cindee Standridge; two granddaughters, three grandsons, his brother, Manuel Stricklin, and a host of loving friends and family. Visitation will be held Monday, Novemeber 28, 2011 at Gardendale Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 29 at Gardendale Funeral Home at 1 PM, with committal to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Reverend Ben Hogan officiating, Gardendale Funeral Home directing.
