A tribute to a very dear friend, ‘Bug’

Heaven’s gain is our loss. Please remember in prayer the family of Wade “Bug” Sharp. He was a very special man, so full of life. He was always ready with a smile. I am very blessed to have known him. He will be missed very much.

• A big welcome to the world to Bailey Anna Elizabeth Pugh. She was born on Sept. 2. Her parents are Adam and Elizabeth Pugh. Congratulations.

• Happy birthday to: Brandon Hays, Billy White, Garland White, and Heather Heatherington on Sept. 9; A.K. Boatright, Charlene Young, and Curt Lawson on Sept. 11; Alexis Rowe on Sept. 13; and Lori Headrick on Sept. 14.

• Happy belated anniversary to Charles and Joanie White on Sept. 5.

• Joy is the most infallible sign of the presence of God.

• Sept. 9 is Grandparents Day. Sept. 11 is Patriot Day. Sept. 15 is POW/MIA Day.

• Upcoming events: Oct. 13, fall festival; Trafford’s annual Christmas parade on Dec. 8; Trafford Church of God’s winter camp meeting in February with Evangelist John Richardson.

• It’s good to see it cool off a bit. It’s almost fall. I love fall and football.
