Burden – Finlen wedding

Claire Elise Finlen and Matthew Todd Burden were married June 2, 2012, in a double-ring ceremony at the town hall in Rosemary Beach, Florida. The officiate was Rev. Kevin Tillman.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Finlen Jr. of Mobile, AL. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hagler, Mrs. Patricia Finlen and the late Mr. James M. Finlen Sr.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Kathy Rice of Cullman. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Shaw, and Mr. and Mrs. Budd Burden.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless taffeta ballgown with a spin duchess satin cumberband and bow by Amsale. She also wore a fingertip veil made from lace from her mother’s veil with a pearl and rhinestone haircomb. She carried a hand-tied bouquet styled with cymbidium orchids and peonies in white tied with white silk dupioni ribbon.
Emily Noelle Finlen, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a navy satin one-strap short dress. She carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet in white. Joshua Shaw, uncle of the groom, was the best man. The groom, groomsman and father of the bride wore navy and white seersucker suits with white cymbidium orchid boutonnieres.
An elegant dinner reception was served in the Gardens in Rosemary Beach.
After the honeymoon in Rosemary Beach, the couple will reside in Birmingham, Alabama.
