Search still underway for missing Fultondale man

The search for a Fultondale man missing since last week is still underway today.
The family of Antonio “Tony” Salas, 68, has not heard from him since Friday night.
Fultondale Police Chief Phillip Mangina said Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies will continue the search today with tracking dogs.
Fultondale officers along with officers from other departments have been helping search for Salas near his residence on Ridgebrook Road, using tracking dogs and a helicopter.
In addition, officers are investigating leads and tips from the public.
Salas is diabetic and has a prosthetic left leg. He walks using a red cane.
The search has primarily focused on the wooded area surrounding Salas’ house.
In addition, the police department has distributed pictures of Salas nationwide and entered him into missing persons’ databases.
