A familiar face will be taking on a new role at Cold Springs Elementary School at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.

On Thursday, June 12, the Cullman County Board of Education approved the promotion of long-time Cold Springs employee Adam McKinnon to principal to replace Micah Rice.

Rice recently decided to transition out of working in education to pursue other opportunities. McKinnon has held various roles at Cold Springs for the last 15 years, most recently serving as assistant principal under Rice.
