Baseball - Roundup

Cullman defeated DeSoto Central 3-2 at the Perfect Game High School Showdown in Hoover on Thursday.

The Bearcats improved to 5-2 following the win and will play Buford (Ga.) on Friday at 3:30 p.m.

Brady Patterson paced Cullman offensively with three hits and one RBI.

AJ Miller (RBI), Brennen Norton, Peyton Colvard, Dylon Wallace, Sam Baker, Ben Hollis and Cole Fuller tallied one hit apiece for the Bearcats.

Patterson and Miller had RBI doubles, and the former also stole home.

Braxton Jones (5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 K) picked up the victory on the mound.

Norton (2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 K) earned the save.
