A Cullman County man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting incident near Lake Catoma on Sunday.

Kevin Paul Brown, 38, was arrested after the shooting was reported on County Road 1401, according to a release from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators and deputies learned that a .22 rifle had been used to shoot at another person inside a vehicle following an alleged domestic incident, according to the release.

Brown was charged with attempted murder, domestic violence, 3rd degree, and shooting into an occupied automobile or building, the Sheriff’s Office reported. Brown is being held on a $25,000 cash bond at the Cullman County Detention Center.

The Cullman Police Department assisted the Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
