Locust Fork’s girls struggled with a game Good Hope squad in the first half, but took control of the game in the second to secure a 54-42 victory in basketball action Friday.

Jamie Gail Hudson achieved a double-dozen for the Hornets, scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Ashlyn Adkins led Locust Fork with 13 points, and Madison Cater also scored 12.

Kaylee Maddox led all scorers with 16 points for the Red Raiders (8-12), who trailed by just one point at halftime.

Locust Fork (13-7) hosts the Blount County Tournament starting Tuesday.
