Amy Leighann Laseter of Cullman, Alabama, and Richard Craig Husted Jr. of Franklin, Tennessee, were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at two o’clock in the afternoon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, Alabama, with Father Phillip O’Kennedy officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Leon Laseter of Cullman. She is the granddaughter of Lorene Laseter of Glencoe, Alabama, and the late Leon Laseter, and the late Gentry and Melba Steelman of Decatur, Alabama.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Craig Husted Sr. of Science Hill, Kentucky. He is the grandson of the late Alvin and Betty Husted and the late Donald and Betsy Varinski.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted by her father. She wore a formal ballgown of ivory ruched organza featuring a sweetheart neckline. The dress was embellished with embroidery, pearls and Swarovski crystals with the sparkling crystals and embroidery continuing down the tulle ballgown skirt and chapel-length train. The dress also boasted an elegant corset back closure. The veil was a diamond white flutter cut, single tier with a folded ribbon running along the edge and held with a bridal comb of pearls and Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of pink Ecuadorian roses.
The bride chose her best friend, Christina Spadaro of Knoxville, Tennessee, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leigh Laseter of Madison, Alabama, sister-in-law of the bride, Kelly Husted of Decatur, Alabama, sister of the groom, and Kimberly Jeffries of Richmond, Kentucky, sister of the groom.
The groom was attended by Jeffrey Husted of Richmond, Kentucky, brother of the groom, as best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Laseter of Madison, Alabama, brother of the bride, Courtney Jeffries of Richmond, Kentucky, brother-in-law of the groom, and good friend, Rohit Irpenwar of Manchester, New Hampshire.
The reception was held at the Botanical Gardens in Huntsville, Alabama.
Following the wedding trip to Italy, the couple will reside in Franklin, Tennessee.
