Thompson – Brown wedding

Kristin Marie Brown and Jonathan Tyler Thompson were united in marriage on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 6 o’clock in the evening at Southside Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Officiates were Bro. Edwin Hayes and Mr. Tracy Robinson. Wedding music was provided by members of the Birmingham Symphony and floral and room design for ceremony and reception by Chris Hutchens.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Brown of Cullman, Alabama. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Nellie Davis and the late Ray Davis and Mrs. Helen Freeman and the late Ranie Brown.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson of Hickory, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Raney and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Russell.
Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a Caldera, diamond white, tiered organza gown featuring a strapless A-Line princess silhouette and a sweetheart neckline. Maids of honor were Anna Thompson and Abbay King. Bridesmaids were Amanda Brown, sister-in-law of the bride; Taylor Thompson and Arden Thompson, sisters of the groom; Julie Boyd, and Melinda Gooch. Attendants were Jessica Brown, Sarah Pollard and Alex Halverson. The flower girl was Liv Brown, niece of the bride. She carried a moss basket with a charm in memory of her sister, Aspen Grace Brown.
Paul Thompson, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Russell, brother of the groom; Keith Brown and Noah Brown, brothers of the bride; Drew Bullard, Alex Johnson, and Scott Sumners. Ushers were Nathan Brown, Jacob Wilson, Colton Mendenhall, Seth Sharp, Evan Rhodes and Josh Husted. Ring bearer was Jaden Russell, nephew of the groom.
The reception was held at The Club in Birmingham, Alabama. After a honeymoon in Anguilla, the couple resides in the Ross Bridge community in Birmingham, Alabama.
