Warnke – Johnson wedding

CULLMAN — Melissa Dawn Johnson and Adam Lee Warnke were united in marriage on August 20, 2011 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The ceremony was officiated by John Bussman of Concordia Seminary and Pastor Warren Ruland.
The bride is the daughter of Don and Inga Johnson of Cullman. She is the granddaughter of Peggy Mauricio and the late Benito Mauricio, and the late Mary Johnson Gordon and Hoke S. Johnson.
The groom is the son of Don and Terrie Warnke of Cullman. He is the grandson of Bill and JoEtta Wilt, and George Warnke and the late Jeanette Warnke.
Wedding music was performed by Mark Blaske, pianist; Melissa McKinney, vocalist; Judy Sullivan Hicks, harpist; and Fred Heinze, organist. Joan Lee served as the wedding director.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory re-embroidered Alencon lace. The strapless gown was fashioned with a sweetheart décolletage. A belt of pewter satin encircled her waist. The princess lines of the molded bodice cascaded to a slightly flared skirt that swept into a cathedral length train. Her fingertip veil of imported silk English netting was edged with a narrow ribbon that fell to a wide band of matching Alencon lace at its fullness.
The bride wore her hair in an elegant chignon adorned with an heirloom comb of filigree ornaments set with freshwater pearls and Mother of pearl cabochons.
Libby Amos was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Sarah Hamm Higginbotham, Elizabeth Pierce, Stacey Moore, Hannah Lane, Lauren Widman, Bethany Culbreth, and GraceAnn Sooter.
The bridesmaids wore a smoky amethyst satin short strapless dress with sweetheart neckline, pleated bodice and chiffon fabric flower detail cascading down from neckline to waist.
Grace Ray was the flower girl. She wore an ivory organza dress with a smoky amethyst satin sash.
Andrew Warnke and Austin Warnke served as best men, and the groomsmen were Jordan Johnson, Cole Bice, Clint Goodlett, Jeff Taylor, Brock Wilson, and David Little.
Ashton Warnke attended the guestbook. Jordan Huff and Nicole Nero performed the Scripture readings.
The reception was held at Stone Bridge Farm immediately following the ceremony.
Following their wedding honeymoon to Santorini and Athens, Greece, the couple now resides in Montgomery, Alabama.
