Andrea Renee Hendon and David Raymond Tew

Andrea Renee Hendon and David Raymond Tew were united in marriage October 9, 2010, at West Point First Baptist Church with the ceremony officiated by Rev.Matt Buerhaus.

The bride is the daughter of Scott and Dianne Hendon of West Point. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert L.Golden and the late Mr. Golden of West Point and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Hendon of Lineville.

The groom is the son of Roger and Cathy Tew of West Point and the late Mr. David Raymond Hawarny. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Crane of Hueytown, Mrs. Lamar Tew and the late Mr. Tew of Hueytown, and Mrs. Ray Hawarny and the late Mr. Hawarny of Vero Beach, Florida.

Wedding music was performed by Jason Johnson, pianist; Joyah Pettus, violinist; Nick Smith, guitarist; and David Moore, vocalist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown by Jacqueline Exclusive, Private Collection. The satin strapless gown featured a sheer overlay with lace applique. The fitted bodice was ornamented with delicately beaded pearls and sequins. The A-line skirt and chapel length train were trimmed in a scalloped lace embellishment. The bride wore her hair in an elegant chignon adorned with white satin flowers. She wore her grandmother’s pearls, continuing a tradition begun by her cousins Elena and Sheila. The bride carried a bouquet of cream-colored Vendella roses accented with Stephanolis and sprinkled with pearls. The rose stems were wrapped in French organza and satin ribbons.

Charity Bogard was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Sheila Groves, Elena Atchison, Candace Hendon, Mary Braden Hendon, Kaitlyn Tew, and Laura Tew. The bridal attendants wore black satin ball gowns with criss-cross necklines and intricate, black beading at the waist. They carried bouquets of deep pink roses which were sprinkled with rhinestone dewdrops.

Tyler Sullins served as best man with Scott Rutherford, Heath Tankersley, Nick Adamson, Caleb Jones, Zeb Powell, and Joseph Cheney serving as groomsmen.

Ushers were Russ Wood, Josh Hendon, Brock Hendon, and Sam Wood.

Ashley Figgs attended the bride’s register.

The reception was held at Childhaven immediately following the ceremony. The bride’s and groom’s tables were attended by Lindsey Chabowski, Rachel West, Courtney Roberts, Melonie Hendon, and Meagan Aderhold.

Celebratory bubbles were distributed by Parker Groves, John Andrew Groves, Caroline Groves and Ava Atchison.

The couple now resides in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
