Gardendale pro golfer Zach Sucher overcame a nightmare 6-over-par third round, shooting a 5-under 66 with eight birdies on Sunday to finish tied for 10th place at the Web.com Tour Mylan Classic in suburban Pittsburgh.

It’s the second top-10 finish in just three starts on the PGA Tour’s developmental circuit, and gives him a full-time spot on the Web.com tour through next year.

Coupled with a second-place finish at the South Georgia Classic in Valdosta in April, Sucher — a former standout golfer at UAB — has won just over $64,000 in prize money.
