A Warrior man was killed Tuesday night in a car accident in the 8700 block of Warrior-Kimberly Road in Kimberly, according to a report by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Willis John Gordie, 20, was killed when he was ejected from his vehicle, said Deputy Chief Jim Roberson.

“Initial investigation leads us to believe that this is a single vehicle accident,” said Roberson.

When deputies arrived at about 6:40 p.m., Kimberly police and fire personnel were already on the scene, as well as Blount County Emergency Medical Services.

Gordie was a former student of Corner High School.
