County to seek emergency funds for storm cleanup
The Cullman County Commission will seek aid from state and federal agencies after damages Thursday’s storms caused property damage.
The commission met Friday morning and declared a state of emergency so that it can qualify for seeking the funds. Additional government funding would assist the county with the removal of debris along county roads.
During the meeting, commissioners also voted to move the White City voting precinct to the Johnson’s Crossing Volunteer Fire Department for Tuesday’s election to renew an education tax. The community center at White City was heavily damaged by a tornado Thursday.
