Palmer “Pete” Norris
Palmer “Pete” Norris, age 74 of Fultondale, passed away Oct. 24, 2007. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and public servant. He was a long time member of Gardendale First Baptist church where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday school. He was a practicing attorney for over 40 years, a prosecutor in Gardendale for over 25 years and he served as the city judge in Fultondale for the past ten years. He was the founder and director of Capital South Bank. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama. He is survived by a devoted wife of 44 years, Mrs. Ann Norris; son, Whit Norris; daughter, Missi (Mark) Wesson; seven grandchildren, Ross, Rebecca, Benjamin, Anna Grace, Melissa, Hunter and Carol Ann; brother, Neal Norris and sister, Maxine Merchant. Funeral services were held Saturday at Gardendale First Baptist Church at 10 a.m. with burial in Walker’s Chapel Funeral. Rev. Mark Harrison officiating.
