Arts and Crafts Show

Nov. 12 – 13, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. Parkview Church of God, located on Keith Circle off of Tarrant Road, will have an “inside yard sale.”

Nov. 20, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Gardendale Library is having a book sale at the former Anderson Boat Building.

Dance

The Gardendale Senior Center hosts a dance every Tuesday from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Band is “Men in Black.”

The Jefferson County Department of Health will host free tot shot clinics the fourth Thursday of each month at Gardendale First Baptist Church in the Family Life Center, 3-5 p.m.

Nov. 13, 10 a.m. -2 p.m. The Corner High School Theater Department will have its annual fish fry in the theater lobby at Corner High School. Choice of “eat in” or “take out.” All meals include cajun or regular catfish, slaw, fries, hushpuppies, drink and homemade dessert for $10. There will also be arts and crafts booths.

Christmas Tree Festival

Nov. 20, 3 – 8 p.m.

Nov. 21, 2 – 5 p.m. The West Jefferson Alumni Association and the West Jefferson Elementary PTA are hosting a Christmas Tree Festival at West Jefferson High School. Food, crafts and other vendors will be there, as well as activities for children. All proceeds will benefit West Jefferson Elementary School. Admission is $5 per adult or $8 per couple. Snow Carnival

Nov. 13, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. The city of Gatlinburg will create several attractions out of manufactured snow at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa vs. Mississippi State University football game.

Rotary Club Fundraiser

Nov. 20, 7 – 10 p.m. The second annual Ironman Football Bash, sponsored by the Rotary club of Shades Mountain Sunrise, will be held wat Workplay  to benefit Children’s Hospital’s Critical Care Transport Service. There will be silent and live auctions. Ticket price is $35; food beverages and entertainment provided.

Rosie the Riveter

Dec. 4, 11 a.m. The Birmingham Chapter of the American Rosie the Riveter Association will meet at Dale’s Southern Grill. The featured speaker will be David Belrose. For more information, call 608-0898.
