Warrior to analyze emergency plan
Several members of the Warrior City Council expressed their desire to re-evaluate the city’s disaster contingency plan at the council’s regular meeting on Monday.
Councilman Theodore Hines said he believed that the city’s various departments did their respective jobs well after last week’s storms, but that more organization was needed to make efforts more efficient.
“We also need to get information to the media about what areas are hit and what’s being done,” said Hines.
Mayor Rena Hudson said the council would look over the emergency plan and come up with suggestions to discuss at the next council meeting, which takes place on the 16th.
The council also voted to hire Cassie Johnson as the new head librarian of the Evelyn Thornton-Warrior Public Library. She will be paid at a step six salary.
