The 91 Homemakers Club met Jan. 11. Sue Evans was hostess. The club’s president called the meeting to order and Vice President Terri Sapp led the pledge to the flag. The origin of the candy cane was read by Marilyn Cruce for the meeting’s devotion.

Minutes were read and approved and roll call was given by Juanita Latta. Treasurer Wanda Sanders gave the financial report.

The president appointed all of the committees for the coming year and expressed her desire to work hard with members for a successful year.

Mary Bernard was thanked for hosting the Christmas party. A homemade vegetable soup and chili were served to members.

Others present were Judy Abbott, Faith Hammock, Mabra Hulsey, Dot Mays, Rose Spears and Brooklyn Garmon (visitor).

Mabra Hulsey will host the February meeting.
