You can go home again, contrary to what author Thomas Wolfe wrote some years back. And Aaron James is proving it.

The longtime Corner High head softball coach is moving back to his hometown of Madison, where he will coach the program at the new Walter Clemens High.

James confirmed the move in typical 21st Century fashion: through a post on his Facebook page over the weekend. Efforts to reach him for further comment since then were unsuccessful.

During his tenure, the Yellow Jackets have made it to the AHSAA Class 4A State Softball Championship three times, finishing as high as third place.

James has also served as an assistant coach in football and boys basketball at Corner.

Clemens High is a Class 6A school that has been open for one year, and was formed when Madison City Schools split the school off from Bob Jones High, then  one of the largest high schools in the state. James is an alumnus of Bob Jones.
