Rev. Melvin Dale Horchler, age 82, of Hayden, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. His funeral service will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at noon with entombment following at Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Mr. Horchler was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Hale Horchler of 60 years. He is survived by his daughters; Sybil Jean Lovell, Vicki Dale Burns, Randy Kay Horchler and Connie Lynn Horchler; grandchildren; Laury Jean Sherwood, Jeffrey Dean Lovell, Anthony Kavin Skinner, Angela Dawn Day, Jennifer Shawn Grooms, Jeramine Dale Burns, Rhonda Catherin and Pamela Kay Brazeel; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family requests that instead of floral sprays, send plants or cut floral arrangements that the family will be able to take home with them.
