Air Force Airman Samantha F. Wingfield graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Wingfield earned distinction as an honor graduate.
She is the daughter of Sheena Wingfield of Fultondale and Walter Wingfield of Clever, Mo.
The airman graduated in 2010 from Clever High School.
Brent A. Daniels has been promoted to the rank of private first class in the U.S. Army. The private is a machinist regularly assigned to Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
He is the son of Terry R. Daniels of Birmingham, and grandson of Sandra C. Tallie of Birmingham. His wife, Jessie, is the daughter of David M. and Robbie Long of Warrior, Ala.
Daniels graduated in 2004 from Pinson Valley High School.
