Want to attend one of nation’s service academies? Deadline Dec. 1
If you, or a high school student you know, are interested in attending one of the country’s service academies — elite institutions that have educated presidents Ulysses S. Grant, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Jimmy Carter and Generals Robert E. Lee and George Patton — contact U.S. Congressman Robert Aderholt’s office by Dec. 1.
Just two have applied for nominations to attend one of the military academies that seek well-rounded individuals with a high level of academic achievement, as well as a commitment to athletics, student activities, and civic organizations.
As congressman, Aderholt has the privilege to nominate a limited number of men and women to four of the five service academies. The United States Coast Guard does not accept Congressional nominations, applications must be submitted directly to the Director of Admissions.
